چکیده
There is a dilemma whether the Chernobyl accident main source of this anthropogenic radionuclide in region Vojvodina, Northern Province Serbia. The difference compared to other dominant radiocaesium environment, nuclear weapon tests, lying local character contamination due accidents, which implies it’s highly dependent on meteorological parameters, such as precipitation and wind area at that time. According published data, average value surface by territory former Yugoslavia after was several times higher than estimated testing (1945–1963). aim research explore possible correlations spatial distribution from April 1986 December 1987 with deposition soil justify claim absence data caesium before for Vojvodina region. database 137Cs content during timeframe interest were used. From total 245 stations 164 244 selected analysis conditionals different time scale aspects validation. best correlation between amounts obtained two rainy periods 2nd-5th 7th-21st May 1986. Further cluster separated four regions according mentioned period could be applied field erosion assessment regional level.

Cancer incidence in northern Sweden before and after the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident
Sweden received about 5 % of the total release of (137)Cs from the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident in 1986. The distribution of the fallout mainly affected northern Sweden, where some parts of the population could have received an estimated annual effective dose of 1-2 mSv per year. It is disputed whether an increased incidence of cancer can be detected in epidemiological studies after t...
متن کاملdepth distribution of chernobyl derived 137cs: from monitoring to modeling
it is common in the literature to confront the measured 137cs depth profile with the analytical solution of 1d advection-dispersion equation (ade) calibrated for the time of sampling which is a pure transport model useful for undisturbed soils. the degree of accuracy is strongly associated to the soil texture. it has been proven that soil with high clay content can retain radiocesium better. mo...
متن کاملDistribution of Thyroid Cancer in the Eastern Part of Turkey 27 Years After the Chernobyl Accident
Background The Chernobyl accident caused widespread effects across Europe and huge areas where radiocontaminated. The effects of the Chernobyl accident on thyroid cancer have been investigated in most European countries. According to the data of the Turkish Atomic Energy Authority, the eastern part of the Black Sea region was the most radiocontaminated area in Turkey at the time of Chernobyl ac...

abstract reception environment has considerable effects on accepting a translation. as the expectations of a target culture and its values and needs change throughout history, its criteria for accepting a translation or rejecting it will change accordingly (gentzler, 2001). the expectations of iran, as the reception environment in the present study, have changed after the islamic revolution. i...
Malignancies in Sweden after the Chernobyl accident in 1986
On 26 April 1986 an accident occurred in the Chernobyl nuclear power plant resulting in the release of large amount of radionuclides. Almost five percent of the total released caesium137 was deposited in Sweden. The incidence of malignancies in the most affected counties in Sweden was investigated in three epidemiological studies. In the first study the incidence of malignancies in children and...
